Christian Bookstores We Love

Christian bookstores are important. They provide valuable resources for believers--Bibles, commentaries, studies, devotionals, & so much more. They give a platform to Christian authors who are faithfully seeking to build up the Church. They employ human beings in their offices, warehouses, print shops, etc. Most importantly, they help spread the Good News of Jesus!

As I write this, we're halfway through the month of November. Christmas is so close & people are buying thousands of gifts as we speak. I'm writing this post in hopes that we can support some of the smaller businesses, particularly those owned & operated by fellow believers.

Maybe you're reading this post when it's not Christmastime. The same holds true year-round, right? We can keep these shops in mind for other gift giving. Whether it's a birthday, graduation, baby shower--these shops have something special for anyone!

I tend to post a lot of gift guides, but I love to highlight small, Christian shops whenever possible.

So, without further ado, here are some of my favorite Christian bookstores!

Lithos Kids

This shop has some of the most beautifully-illustrated Christian books for kids! The selection might be limited compared to other shops, but think quality over quantity. These books are thoughtful & deep. I hope you can find something here that your child will be able to pass on to his or her children someday! (I used to have a affiliate coupon code for this shop, but it's no longer active.)

Christian Book

If you're looking for variety, this is your place. They have everything. That does mean that you may have to be a bit more discerning when buying from this site, but it's great to have so many quality resources available at such reasonable prices. I'll share a few of my more recent favorites...

The Good Book Company

I participate in TGBC's reviewer program & have really enjoyed getting to read some really wonderful books over the past couple of years. This publishing company has some great variety, providing books for kids, devotions for adults, parenting books, & so much more!

Some of the more popular books with my kids have been the Tales that Tell the Truth & the Very Best Bible Stories. My 9-year-old daughter has enjoyed the Do Great Things for God & the Abigail series. My 12-year-old son recommends The Songs of a Warrior which is a novelization of the story of David.

Here are some of my recent favorites:

Parenting without Panic in an LGBT-Affirming World by Rachel Gilson

Beautiful Freedom: How the Bible Shapes Your View of Appearance, Food, and Fitness by Stacy Reaoch

Peace over Perfection: Enjoying a Good God When You Fell You're Never Good Enough by Faith Chang

Moody Publishers

Moody has been offering rich resources to believers for over 100 years. It benefits the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. From fantastic kids books to Bible studies for adults to preaching tools, Moody has a treasure trove of books to explore.

I shared a reel after one of their recent sales. I mean, just look at these wonderful titles I was able to buy to stock our family shelves!

New Growth Press

I first learned about this company when our church's children's ministry used the Gospel Storybook Curriculum. I always appreciated the depth of the lessons, even for the littlest ones. I soon learned New Growth Press has some truly helpful resources for discipling children & adults, but it also offers Bibles, counseling resources, children's picture books, and even some novels! I've recently been working through The Ology with my kids, and I know we will be getting others.

Westminster Bookstore

Westminster offers the best of the best. They sell books published by The Good Book Company, Crossway, & others. They also offer a wide array--from academic seminary resources to storybook Bibles for kids. This shop seeks to have Biblically-faithful items that you can feel confident adding to your home library.

Daily Grace Co.

Daily Grace publishes their own studies & devotional resources. While most of their items are aimed for women, they also offer studies geared for men & kids. They have home items, mugs, pens, apparel, & more! DGC is almost always having a sale of some sort, so check their website frequently to find the best deals. I'm currently working through the Fruit of the Spirit study along with my regular Bible reading plan. It is a great study with practical applications as well as strong insights into the text.

Every Woman a Theologian

Phylicia Masonheimer is the founder of this small business. She & her team offer affordable, high-quality resources on a variety of topics. Through their "quick theology" books, they've tackled topics such as pregnancy, church membership, alcohol, singleness. Their shop also will offer seasonal lines throughout the year, especially during the Advent time of year.

Story Glory Kids

I just learned about this shop while working on this post! In addition to their online shop, they also offer book fairs--a much-needed alternative to the options that exist elsewhere. While not every book is written by a Christian author like so many of these other shops, they curate books based on Christian values of truth, beauty, and goodness. I hope this becomes a go-to alternative for many of us who love to fill our children's lives with good books!

I hope you're able to find some great resources from these shops & remember to support them whenever you get a chance. I know money can be tight during certain seasons, so when I make a purchase, I like when I get the chance to do more with my money than just contribute to some executive's third vacation home! Ha!

As always, I'm cheering you on as you walk daily with our Good God!
